Mulligan's Skim Jam - The World's Largest 1 day Pro/Am Skim Contest

The 9th Annual Mulligan's Skim Jam competition happened today at Mulligan's Beach House in Vero Beach, Florida. The event was hosted by Shore lb. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for warm ups but it was a great way to kick off the first day of the long Labor Day weekend.

Large Panorama's Installed at Yahoo Inc. Playa Vista, California Office

A couple of months ago I was contacted by Yahoo Incorporated out of Los Angeles, California. They were interested in a few of my images for their Playa Vista, California office.

Today, I received word that the install is complete along with a couple of snapshots to share. Both are panorama photographs; one is located in the cafe and the other in the hallway. Top image is Port of Los Angeles and bottom photo is of Catalina Island.

Was hoping to visit the Yahoo Los Angeles office during my scheduled trip to California in September. Unfortunately, that trip has been postponed, but I hope to see them in person very soon. Big thank you to Yahoo Inc.

New Blues Revolution CD Released

The latest release by Long Beach, California based blues band, New Blues Revolution, "To Hellendale and Back" hit the streets last week prior to their performance on the NAMM kickoff party stage. NAMM is the largest music convention in the world.

It's a privilege that my image was selected for the cover of the new CD. I shot the image during their set at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California. To learn more about the band or pick up the new CD go to www.newbluesrevolution.com and connect with them on Facebook.

Last post of the year - Happy New Year 2016

As my first complete year living in Vero Beach, Florida comes to an end, I thought I'd take a minute to reflect on 2015.

A friend of mine posted on Facebook today that her new years resolution was to quit posting about how great it is where she lives. (She lives Here in Vero Beach). That got me thinking and I need to do just the opposite.

For the past year I've done nothing but miss the weather, my friends and all that is California to me. As much as I miss California (Did I mention that?), I'm very lucky to live where I do. I'm close to the beach, have a great job and am finally starting to develop some relationships. I'm going to do all I can to post more images of the beauty, community, and what makes Vero Beach, The Treasure Coast and Florida a great place.

Below is a little something I read that really hit home and thought I'd share. I am truly so grateful and lucky to be where I'm at in my life. Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year!

As the year comes to a close. I take time for reflection. The new year is traditionally a time to release old thoughts and beliefs, launch new projects, and change old patterns.

I ask myself: What troubles from the past am I ready to release? What hurts am I ready to forgive? What experiences and relationships do I want to manifest in the new year?

I become still and turn within, opening my heart and mind to answers from the spirit of God within me. I prayerfully consider which steps are mine to take and remember to be patient with myself as I bravely try something new. Change happens one step at at time.

I am guided to an amazing new year.

Happy New Year 2016 - Logan, Julia and Scott
